Our Hiring Process

At Ecosmic, we're all about making the hiring process as stress-free as possible so you can show us your true potential.

We’re not trying to make things tricky. Our hiring process is a two-way process. We want to hear about your experiences and see if you’d be a great fit for our team. But equally important, we want you to see if Ecosmic is a place where you’d love to work every day.

We’re constantly looking for ways to improve our interview process and enhance the candidate experience, so things might change over time, but this is how we do things now.

First Call (30 min)

This is a chat about you, the role, and your background. In this call, Gaia will fill you in on Ecosmic and what we're all about. We’re also eager to hear about what drives you to see if there’s a good fit with the role and the company. We’ll ask some competency-based questions to check if you can handle the daily tasks. This is a two-way process, so we’ll make sure to save some time at the end for any questions you might have.

Take-home Technical Assessment

This stage can vary depending on the role. For some, we ask candidates to complete a small exercise on their own time. These are designed to take just a few hours, and we’ll give you enough time between interviews to get it done. We aim to make the task interesting and hope it gives you a taste of the kinds of problems we’re solving at Ecosmic. In the first call, we’ll share more details about what to expect from the take-home exercise.

Technical Interview (45 min - 1 hr)

In the technical interview, you’ll chat with the hiring manager who will ask you some technical questions relevant to the role. If there are multiple people from the team, one will lead the interview and the others will shadow. You’ll also get the chance to present the work you did for the take-home assessment. This is your opportunity to showcase your skills and thought process, and to dive into the details of your approach. It’s a great way for us to see how you tackle real-world problems and for you to get a feel for the technical challenges we work on.

Final Call (20 min)

This will be a quick, informal call with Imane where we’ll dive on getting to know you better; your interests, what you're passionate about, why you're looking to make a change and what kind of impact you want to make.

Offer

Congratulations! You’ve nailed the interview process, and we want you on our team. We’ll give you a call to go over the offer details before sending it to you in writing. We know accepting a job is a big decision, so we’re happy to set up any additional chats to answer any questions.
